Avoiding Difficult People

·

I didn’t hear much about unity in my life before recovery. Isolation I knew well. When I had to deal with a difficult person, oftentimes I didn’t. I barricaded myself in with people I knew liked me.

But our Traditions guide us to consider unity when we’re part of a group. If I’m avoiding a coworker I don’t like, I’m not serving the unity of my workplace.

Today, I will reflect on how I’m responding to difficult people around me. If I’ve been avoiding a conversation, I will make time for it in my schedule. I will ask my Higher Power to help me practice new behavior that better serves the unity of my workplace.
